    Perfect Dark Zero

    BM2_Love_Angel replied:
A-ha! Congratulations for discovering PDZ's secret as well.
I have friends that still play it non-stop, since the release. It is a great game.
Not that much of graphics and stuff like GoW, for example, but it is amazing!

This morning I read BM2 Love Angel's reply and wanted to comment. Thanks for the congratulations.I do agree this is a great game!!!I also agree that while it is nothing graphicwise in comparison to GoW,they are indeed amazing and get better and better each level!!!Speaking on levels, this morning I made it past mission 10-WOOHOO!!!I just love that it isn't just another run and gun game like Halo series,I love that you can cover.I'm looking forward to getting off of work tonight and getting back into this one ^^!!!

Perfect Dark Zero v. Gears Of War

Months ago I was having Xbox 360 problems and as an appology of sorts,I was sent a free copy of PDZ Collector's Edition via MS.I only played a level here and there because I was renting other games.Recently a friend from work let me borrow Gears Of War,and I am still in awe over this game.A couple of days ago however I started thinking about the concept of how it is a duck and cover game as oppose to run and gun (as Halo 2).My thoughts on GOW is while it isn't the first game to use cover (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter,Perfect Dark Zero),it is indeed the first game to be action packed (say as Halo 2),so it has a balance completely different than any other game.I bring this to attention because while GOW feels more action based,PDZ has this stealth feel.I guess the point is I feel PDZ was in ways ahead of it's time,as now that i have caught up to it,I am starting to enjoy it more and more as I continue playing it.I know now what BM2 Love Angel has been trying to say about why she loves PDZ,and look forward to continuing my missions in this game!!!

Fable:The Lost Chapters and Doom 3

Lately my gaming venture has found me away from the 360 and completing class Xbox games that I had not beaten, but was close to it.A couple of days ago,I finally completed Fable The Lost Chapters.I found it comedical that the new Jack of Blades in dragon form was tons easier than the Jack in original form. Then last night as I was playing a new save file for Doom 3,I ended up loading on an old save file and glad I did, because I was able to complete Doom 3,which IMO felt disappointed because Fable seemed to have a better ending than Doom 3 did-lol.I mean you battle hours and hours of demons in Doom3 only to see a one minute clip suggesting another Doom (even though ID denies they would make another one).I was like oh my goddess. Now,as I sit here typing I have to question has this what games have come to?So much is spent on gameplay that the ending story has to be a one minute suckfest where the credits are longer than the actual ending?Granted KotOR's ending was short too,but it made you feel like you were rewarded,Doom (3) on the other hand,I felt like "wow,I'm glad I took six months break because if I went through it straight and seen that,I would have been more upset"-lol.O well,at least it's one more game completed...

    KotOR

Recently a friend suggested I beat KotOR because I had never beaten it,and it is suppose to be a great game.I JUST BEAT IT!!!The last couple of days have been tough because it's practically all I did,and with little sleep.I finally accomplished completing it ^_^ !!!

Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic and Oblivion

Lately I have been spending time playing KotOR.Earlier this week, someone told me I should and asked if they could give part of the plot away.I said sure, and once they told me,I immediately wanted to play it again because I have never completed it.With that said,I have been spending a lot of time on this wonderful game.My only complaint is because I chose to start over on the 360,the audio skips because of the emulator, and I do NOT want to start over again, and I'm lost on my old save file on the original Xbox,I just wouldn't want to start over again.Meanwhile,I did play Oblivion for an hour yesterday also.I'm still trying to catch my new character up to my old character by completing quests I have preciously made achievements for (aka Mages Guild).I have all of the new downloadable quests except for the newest one that just came out,but I plan on getting it soon...

By the way, last night I got a call for a job interview today at 1:pm so wish me the best ^^!!!

    Designerskin

Hello everyone.I have not posted in a while mainly because a few weeks ago I lost my job, which is also why I haven't finished the game yet.I don't have much more to go,it's just between me looking for another job and trying to occupy my mind from being too depressed. Before I lost my job though,I ordered a designer skin for my Xbox 360.This is actually the best photo I could take and in order to fit it in this post,I had to shrink it.It's a picture of Windurst from FFXI and to the right of the power button is my level 40 whitemage cheering on.Under the DVD panel are the four main country flags and beneath the memory cards slots is the FFXI logo. It's really hard to see,but if you click here, you should see a better screenshot...

    Perfect Dark Zero Demo

I must appologize for my absence,I have been fiercely busy.First, there was the week of E3,tons of downloads to snag up,then I upgraded to Broadband from DSL,which is nice considering the large demo downloads which use to take over an hour now take 20-30 minutes. All of this along with gaming and I have been a busy bee.To recap what I have been doing,in Final Fantasy XI,I opened up the Bluemage job, which currently is my favoritest of all jobs, however a lot of players are subbing Ninja for it.I was going to do my own thing by subbing Summoner, however I realized it won't play well for myself if I solo-so I optioned to unlock Ninja, however along the way,I deleveled my whitemage to 29 and I won't be able to unlock it unless I hit level 30 again.Meanwhile,I have also been working on my very own project game, and have completed 15 levels.I still have some ways to go,and was hoping to finish it by the end of this month, however with work and balancing home life,it's not going to happen.Which reminds me,I have also been focusing more on myself than I use to.I have been reorganizing my priorities to be "cup-half full",and I am achieving that in my life, and religion is indeed playing a part in all of that-the Gods and Goddesses have blessed me these days ^_^ !!!Other games I have been dealing with are Paper Mario and Sonic Adventure 2-both on Gamecube,as well as Me and My Katamari and PoPoLoCrois both for the PSP.All splendid games, which explains my absence on Xbox Live. This morning before poping into work,I downloaded PDZ Demo, and today when I got home,I played it.A friend of mine told me not to ever bother with the game-said when he got it,he traded it in 10 minutes after because the graphics were dated and game was just awful. On playing the demo,I begged to differ. The first thing I noticed is on the title screen,it felt like a female James Bond (if you want to call it that),but what I fell in love with, and it seems so odd,is the hands. When you reload the gun,the hands are so close and huge,it feels like you can reach right in and hold Joanna's hands. The graphics did not seem dated at all.In fact it felt like Halo 2 on steroids, actually I felt it better than Halo 2-I am not sure about online gameplay, which scares me from getting it,but it won't stop me.If I do get it,I'll just be leary online.Overall I am very pleased with the demo, however I checked gamefly tonight and of any titles for the 360,only 4 of the 78 titles are either future releases or on waiting,so Joanna Dark will have to wait.Again, sorry for my absence and I'm glad to be back ^_^ !!!

    Icandee Voice Samples!!!

Last night I get this message on Xbox Live from Icandee informing me that the voices were recorded and sent to my email.I thought she had a great voice over Live as it was,but once I opened the file and heard her samples,I was in awe over how wonderful it really is!!!Honestly,it's like a female from Sega is doing the voice for my first game-it's something great and I am glad she is a part of it.In the meantime,as I am getting into level designs, some new ideas have been developing. One of which being a tutorial voiced over as the game is explained.Others actually involve a new style of gameplay in which I'm not quite sure how it will exactly take off,but it's something worth exploring but may take some time to check on.Otherwise things are going smoothly, however gaming is consuming me and I haven't been focused so much on making this game as I need to.I will complete this one though,as it is gaining a nice flow from the original demo...

    ...and Xbox Live Issues...

OMG,the game, what few minutes I have played of it,is like playing a movie-the opening is creepy, and talking to some of the people you meet in this game seem sadening.Very emotional,it's going to be a great game if the first 15 minutes is this good!!!Paper Mario is like that,if you stop playing for a few days, you forget what to do and get stuck-lol,least my experience,i ended up starting over (I rented it previously). As far as UNO goes,I never got any invites o.O ...Live has been stupid lately. If I try to accept invites from ICandee or Majorpayne or try to join a game that they are in,I get kicked, and likewise,if I try to invite them to a voicechat or game,it won't let them in.I had this problem with Live on the Xbox, and called MS about it,but they brush it off as "maybe they're kicking you out of their game" and won't address the issue.I get tired of calling them on this issue and no longer do so because nothing gets done about it...

Half Life 2 and Papaer Mario:The Thousand Year Door

Well, earlier last week,I was scrounging around Gamefly and came across that Half-Life 2 (a game I jaw dropped the first second I held it when it came out for Xbox) was a mere $12,and I had a $5 coupon taking it down to $7.It's one of those games that is too good to be true (graphic wise),and for some reason it got skipped in my collection somehow-o now I remember,I had to get the 360-LOL...I lived through the hype and got burned out by it and wondered if it was still worth getting. My best friend in South Carolina asked what I was thinking. He never suggests to me to get a game, this was one that he did, never playing it himself and only knowing what I have told him. So,a few days ago I ordered Half Life 2 and it shipped Saturday so I should get it sometime this week-YAY!!!Meanwhile,Since forever and a day,I reurned Paper Mario (GC) to Gamefly because they stopped offering it to be sold.I have since longed to get it,but only when the price drops-even to $30.Well,yesterday I made a stop into Best Buy and as I scrounged around the games, guess what I came across?Yeppers-for $20 I bought Paper Mario!!!I still haven't played it yet because last night I had planned to have help in FFXI to get the BLUemage job opened. It didn't take off ontime, but I'm currently in the process of opening it,so wish me the best on that as well...

Final Fantasy XI:Online for the Xbox 360

The question was brought up what is the big deal about Final Fantasy XI on the 360.Very good question. As far as typing in the game, that is the key to communicate between PC and PS2-with that said if it were voice enabled only, you would have no communication with PC and PS2 gamers, and with this MMO communication is everything. When I first played I [began on the PC and I] thought I would hate typing, however once I got into the game,it is second nature now.In all honesty 20 minutes cannot give you an overall perspective on how the game works. The game doesn't really show you why it is the way it is until level 18,and even then for me personally it took me until level 25 before I realized what they [Square-Enix] were doing with this game. What makes this a big deal for the Xbox 360 is in comparison to the PC,it is in high definition and looks far superior than most high end PCs currently-in comparison to the PS2,the framerate is higher so everything runs smoother-the end result is you get the best version of the game. Not only do you get the best version, you get every expansion (including the newly released Treasures of Aht Urhgan),and on top of all of this it's $50 ($10 cheaper than usual 360 titles). The beta test would have been beneficial to play because you had months to play it for free-to delve deep to see why the game is good, now it's either play on a friends account or buy the game, which if you're not sure you would like it,would be a risk.I will admit,I only played a few MMOs (Ragnarok and City of Heroes),and from what I have played,I enjoy FFXI the most.If you're looking to get into MMOs,Ragnarok offers a 15 day free play, download it and give it a shot-if you like it and want more, then maybe check out FFXI,if you don't like it,then consider maybe MMOs are just not the thing for you,at least not yet.I'm just trying to give ideas to save you some money in case you have never played a MMO before.I hope this helps and if there are any more questions, feel free to ask ^_^ !!!

    DarkSilverMoon and Final Fantasy XI

Yesterday I wasn't feeling like myself so instead of leveling on Final Fantasy XI,I chose to go to sleep for a few hours. On waking up,I was able to get power leveled up from level 4 to 7.I am hoping since I have tomorrow off to at least make it to level 10.After that,my goal is to reach level 20 where my fun begins. There is a Burning Circle Notorious Monster Level 20 that drops really rare and expensive Astral Rings that I would love to hunt for my character, also I must fight the Avatars in order to obtain them-it won't be easy but something to look forward to.Meanwhile I'm back in business.I finally got some news on my DSM frontpage,so feel free to check it out and as always thank you for shopping with us-er,wait a second...

    DarkSilverMoon and Gaming...

Hello everyone, let me first say I appologize for my absense. It is hard making a game and running 2 blogs all while trying to have free time and work and juggle family time.Recently some issues have come up with my website. My website host has switched server providers which left me in a pickle because it has wiped my forums out,and now because of this,it has glitched my forums into thinking it has a forum and now I cannot replace it.The end result is I have no forum.I have spun ideas in my head as to how I am going to resolve this issue and only came up with two ideas:close the site or change hosts.Recently I have come up with a third idea.I just this morning posted a link to forums linking it to Webcity. The friends I had from DSM and MSN Spaces are very friendly and I think this will work, plus it would get more traffic on Webcity,so if it's okay with the admin,I'd like to keep the link going.Secondly,I will still change hosts next year.I will back everything up and take it with me,so I will not lose anything.I appreciate the wonderful service Webcity has provided me over the years, and hope this can continue.
As far as gaming, recently I have been downloading E3 trailers and demos and finally got Whitemage to level 30 in Final Fantasy XI.I also proudly opened the Summoner job and have taken him to level 4!!!I have also been playing  Brain Age on the DS,and I must say I can "feel" me getting smarter (if that makes any sense).I will continue to report on my gaming soon.Thank you for your time ^_^!!!

    Darksilvermoon

"What does XUG have to do with the problem on your site?"...

Well,it gets a little deeper than this.XUG's host (Rhyze and Boschhosting) is also the host for Darksilvermoon.Recently they changed servers and that in turn left me without a forums. My site isn't as large as say the 32,131 registered users they have, however I would one day like it to obtain some kind of status as that-however the 8-12 regulars I did have, well that is no more.Since this server change,I have not been able to upload any kind of forums, and for some reason I have gotten the blame for this-which I do not see how considering everything was fine prior to the server change. For some reason he could not resolve my problem and now I am stuck paying for the $50 service and having to wait out 9 more months before I can do anything else, such as changing server hosts.I could do it now, however $50 is a lot of money to just keep shelling out every three months and not having any results.Personally,I just feel from a business perspective,if he can continue to keep XUG running flawless,he should be able to help his paying customers to do the same, and not get frustrated over issues created by his hosting plan. His solution was to give me a free month for my problems. This in my opinion will not resolve me not having a forum for an entire year. With this siad it leaves me with several options now.One option is dropping the forums and make it a business site hosting games created by me-which currently it is what I have done,by force though, not by choice.Another option is to change services and reinstall another forums, which creates the problem of having a registered user base of probably 4-8 people with no hope in sight of making it the grand social community I once wished I could have had.Which in turn, instead of wasting another $50 per year,I would end up closing the site down-something I never would want to do.All of this builds up with conflict and unsolved resolutions and this is causing problems with myself and Rhyze,XUG,and Boschhosting. It would be different if I could get the traffic as XUG does and could make the $50/year seem worthwhile, but I no longer see that happening and it saddens me that it has forced me into having two options, one of which hurts me to do,but may end up being my final resolve...

Final Fantasy XI,Our First Game,Oblivion, and possibly Half Life 2...

It's been a little but I am back.I have been sick lately and with work,it has left me with little time to work on the game, and when I have felt like doing anything,I have been glued to Final Fantasy XI.Granted lately I have been going back to play Destroy All Humans and I also beat Me and My Katamary a couple of days ago,I have been pushing to get my character to level 30.Yesterday I did make it from level 25 to 28 and hopefully I can get my character to level 30 by next week.As far as the game I am working on,I had to take a break from it because one of my animations was not working like it should have. This morning I spent some time on tweaking it,and while I could not keep the animation I wanted,I found a mistake that makes up for it,rather it turns out no one will notice the animation has a flaw because it has a nice effect-I'll discuss more on that when it is finished.I also had to take out a couple of other things to make the game work more precisely and to fit it all in,but the end result is I actually enjoy the product now,the demo was okay, but I knew I could do better-this is better.Keep in mind level 1 is completed now,the rest should be easy from here on out...Today is the day I get Oblivion out of Layaway, which means going back in the game and figuring out where I left off, since I haven't played in a while I'm not sure where I need to go,luckily for me the journal is greatly improved on from Morrowind. On a final note,I went looking through Gamefly yesterday and they are selling Half Life 2 for $12.I have wanted it since it was released, however this was the same time the 360 came out and I ended up pushing the game to the side (as a lot of games I wanted have been),however if I can squeeze blood from a turnip,I should be able to get it today.I hope so,I have so wanted to play this.I played the demo and the demo was so long,I never actually made it to the end of that level,so I know the game is going to be fulfilling, wish me the best ^_^!!!

    Our First Game...

Normally, when approached about showing something I have not completed,I won't simply because of others nabbing my ideas. However this was a different case. For starters,I wanted to show I actually am doing something because anyone can say "hey I'm making a game" and just blowing out hot air, plus I wanted to because I would love to have fabulous voiceover in my title.Secondly, the work I have begun putting into it,in the final form, will actually look almost different than what it is now.So far everything is turning out great, but then again it isn't called a demo because I'm finished with it ^_^!!!I've already submitted snippets of what I would like said within the game, and look forward to the finished product. So far I have finished most of the sprites I need to work on the game, now it's just getting the levels together, and I will finish up with sound effects and voice.I'll keep you posted on the progress ^_^!!!
